Everything about launching on Lumen: what happens when you press the button, what each rule does, and how a token graduates.

1

How launching works

  1. Step 1
    Fill in your token

Name, symbol, description and a logo. The logo and details are saved by Lumen and linked from the token, so wallets and explorers show them.

  2. Step 2
    Pick one rule

Choose a transfer rule (or none). It's written into the token itself using Solana's Token-2022 transfer hooks.

  3. Step 3
    Approve twice

Your wallet asks for two approvals: one creates the curve settings with your rule, the second creates the token and its trading pool.

  4. Step 4
    Trade on the curve

The token is live on a Meteora bonding curve right away and appears on the Launches page for everyone.

Every launch gets
  • • 1,000,000,000 fixed supply, 6 decimals
  • • Token-2022 standard
  • • Mint and freeze authority removed
  • • SOL as the trading pair
  • • 1% trading fee on the curve
  • • Liquidity locked at graduation

The rules

Live rules are built into the Meteora pool itself, so buying and selling always works. Sniper Fee Cap is live today; the transfer rules marked "Coming soon" arrive after launch with Lumen's own rule programs.

Sniper Fee Cap

80% fee in the launch block, dropping fast.

Built into the Meteora pool: trades in the launch block pay an 80% fee that roughly halves every block. Bots buying instantly pay the most; normal buyers a few seconds later pay the regular 1%.

Block 1 (launch)
80% fee
Block 2
~39% fee
Block 3
~19% fee
Blocks 4–6
~9% → ~4% → ~2%
From block 7
Normal 1% fee
Fee by block
A block is ~0.4s. Buy in block 1 → 80% fee. Buy 3 seconds after launch → normal 1%.

Makes sniping unprofitable — and buys always work.

No rule

Plain token, normal 1% trading fee.

A plain Token-2022 token with no extra rules — a flat 1% trading fee from the first block.

Works like a normal token on the bonding curve.

Simple, no restrictions.

Max Wallet

Classic bag limit per wallet.

Coming soon

Every transfer is checked: if the receiving wallet would end up holding more than the cap, the transfer is rejected.

Applies to
Every buy and wallet-to-wallet transfer

Fixed % of total supply per wallet

No
Exempt
Bonding curve pool
With a 1% cap on 1B supply, no wallet can hold more than 10M tokens.

Coming after launch — numbers above are examples.

Stops one wallet from scooping up the supply.

Rising Max Wallet

Starts low, rises over time. Anti-snipe.

Coming soon

Same bag limit as Max Wallet, but it starts tight at launch and loosens step by step, so snipers can't grab a big share in the first blocks.

Applies to
Every buy and transfer
Cap at launch
Small % of supply
Growth
Rises on a schedule after launch
End state
Higher cap or no cap
Example: 0.5% at minute 0, rising toward 2% as time passes.

Fair first minutes for real buyers.

Hot Potato

Holding too long gets costly.

Coming soon

The longer a wallet sits on tokens without moving them, the more it costs to move them later. Keeps tokens circulating.

Example: a fresh holder pays almost nothing; a wallet idle for days pays more.

Market Hours

Transfers only during set hours.

Coming soon

Transfers are only allowed inside a daily time window. Outside it, every transfer is rejected.

Bonding curve & graduation

The curve

Price is set by a formula, not an order book. Each buy raises the price, each sell lowers it. There's always someone to trade with: the curve itself.

Starting market cap

Where the price starts. Lumen's default is 30 SOL; creators can change it at launch.

Graduation

When the market cap reaches the graduation target (default 400 SOL), the SOL raised moves into a Meteora DAMM v2 pool, and liquidity is locked.

Each token page shows its live curve: the current market cap, SOL raised and progress to graduation.
